As our cotton rope lead is hand dyed it is recommended to use a damp cloth to remove dirt. They can be washed by hand in warm soapy water but this may fade the colour of the leads over time - do not leave to soak or the colour will fade. Hang wet leads and allow to dry naturally. To avoid silver hardware from rusting make sure you dry them immediately after washing. Alternatively, choose our solid brass hardware.
