What does this product do?
Worm clear is for the treatment of mixed infections causd by gastrointestinal worms (roundworms & tapeworms) in dogs.
Is this product suitable for my dog?
Do not use in dogs less than 2 weeks old or weighing less than 3kg. The tablets can be divided in two or four equal doses. For routine treatment a single dose is recommended. In case of suspected heavy roundworm infestation, please contact your veterinary surgeon for diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Do not use in pregnant dogs unless advised by your vet. If your dog is receiving other medication, check with your vet before using this product. Do not use at the same time as other wormers, or if your dog has an allergy to any of the ingredients.
How do I use this product?
Read the enclosed leaflet before use. For oral administration, 1 tablet per 10kg bodyweight. Tablets should be given directly to the dog or if necessary given with food. This medicine does not need to be given on a empty stomach. To ensure administration of correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. It is important to follow the treatment recommendations presented.
- Greater than 3.0 up to 5kg - 1/2 tablet
- Greater than 5.0 up to 10.0kg- 1 tablet
- Greater than 10.0kg up to 15.0kg- 1 1/2 tablet
- Greater than 15.0 up to 20.0kg - 2 tablets
Do not deviate from these recommendations without the advice of your veterinary surgeon. If signs of disease persist or appear, consult your veterinary surgeon.
Puppies should be treated at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks until 12 weeks of age. Thereafter they should be treated at 3 month intervals. It is advisable to treat the bitch at the same time as the puppies. For the control of toxocara, nursing bitches should be dosed 2 weeks after giving birth and every 2 weeks until weaning. Ensure sources of tapeworm re-infestation (fleas and mice) are removed. Do not exceed the stated dose. In the event of an overdose, seek immediate veterinary advice.
